We hope you had a great Europe Day on 9 May!
At the Euroregion Pyrenees-Mediterranean (EPM), we continue to work with the EU to build a resilient future both in the Euregional territory and in the whole Mediterranean region.

Handover of the Presidency in Toulouse and Euroregional Youth Assembly

|
|
Carole Delga, President of the Region Occitanie, who had held the presidency of the Euroregion since the end of 2020, handed over to Pere Aragonès, President of the Generalitat of Catalonia, on 10 February 2023 in Toulouse (Occitanie), in the presence of Rosario Sanchez Grau, Minister of Finance and External Relations of the Balearic Islands Government.

Aged between 17 and 29 and coming from the Balearic Islands, Catalonia and Occitania, we have been selected to form the first Euroregional Youth Assembly. Since our first meeting on 9 and 10 February 2023 in Toulouse, we have been meeting remotely on a monthly basis to prepare our proposals to the Euroregion on various topics: environment, sustainable development and responsible economy, languages/cultures, inclusion and social rights, but also gender equality.

Our first goal?
|
|
Develop a communication plan for young people in our regions! Motivated and united by the will to act, we have eighteen months to show that youth is resourceful.
|

Our Tourism and Culture Project Officer, Lorena Abelenda Castro, has resumed her place in the team. Thank you to Flora Bacquelaine for filling in so ably! We hope to see you soon!
We also welcome Romane Schabaillie, who has joined us for her internship until the end of the summer.
And finally, we have inaugurated our new headquarters in Perpignan! We are still in the Centre du Monde, but in a more compact space on the 3rd floor, with lots of light, to continue developing inspiring projects!
