SMART GREEN WATER
The Euroregion is the leader of the Smart Green Water project, which wants to promote the digital transformation of agriculture and water savings in southwestern Europe as part of the Interreg SUDOE program.
The Euroregion team and other partners of the SMART GREEN WATER project during the launch at the Casa de la Generalitat in Perpignan, March 5, 2024.
The great challenge for agriculture in the SUDOE territory is to face the consequences of climate change, in particular the increasingly frequent drought episodes. Therefore, it is necessary to create the conditions to promote the resilience of agriculture by improving water use.
To face this challenge, the digital transformation of agriculture is essential and the support for the resulting digitalization will guarantee a more efficient agricultural sector in the use of water.
Launch of the Fashion Forward project of the SUDOE program in Barcelona.
The main objective of the project is to promote the transformation of the SUDOE fashion industry, especially in rural areas, towards a more sustainable, intelligent and digital model adapted to the new European regulations.
The Euroregion team will be responsible for the study on the water cycle in the textile industry of the SUDOE region and for the capitalization of the project.
FASHION FORWARD launch in Barcelona, February 7 and 8, 2024.
A holistic transnational strategy will be produced for the textile/fashion industrial transformation towards a consensual circular model that responds to the requirements from the EU for each of the target groups and agents of the value chain.

CARBON FARMING MED
Carbon Farming Med, a project financed by the Interreg Euro-MED program, seeks to promote the entry of the agricultural sector of the Mediterranean region into the carbon credit market.
The project will focus on adapting the methodologies for measuring, reporting and verifying the amount of CO2 that can be captured and stored in agricultural soils thanks to the application of new agricultural and agroforestry practices.
CARBON FARMING MED launch in Vic, February 29th, 2024.
The main objective of the project is to help farmers develop a sustainable and resilient Mediterranean agricultural system and, at the same time, encourage their entry into the carbon market to obtain another source of income. This objective will be achieved by optimizing regenerative agricultural practices in a Mediterranean context and providing the necessary tools to facilitate the adoption of carbon credits in the market (from the perspective of the seller and the buyer).
