Aid fund against Covid-19

During 2020, the Euroregion Pyrenees Mediterranean launched the transversal and exceptional call for a COVID support fund, whose resolution benefits 32 innovative projects with a total funding of €700,000.

Through this Fund, Carole Delga, President of the Euroregion and the Région Occitanie and its partners Francina Armengol, President of the Government of the Balearic Islands, and Pere Aragonés, Vice-President of the Government of Catalonia, expressed their desire to mentor and support the socioeconomic actors and citizens of the Euroregional territory with the aim of mitigating the effects of the health crisis and boosting the economy throughout the region.

For all applications to a call for projects issued by the Euroregion Pyrenees-Mediterranean, please take note of the applicable documents to be observed, in addition to the regulations for each call.



Advancing towards a true circular economy in the territories of the Euroregion, in particular in the field of recycling and use of textile resources

  • Promote a project for recycling and reuse of waste, especially clothing (textile sector)
  • Support emergency measures for SSE actors facing difficulties

Description: This project aims to analyze and seek new lines of work within the textile reuse and recycling sector in the new scenario marked by:
– Changes in the quality of textiles due to the fast fashion model that affect their reuse and recycling
– Obligation of the administrations to do differentiated collection of textile waste
– Future textile SCRAP in Spain
– Effects of the pandemic caused by COVID in the field of textile waste management

Recording of the webinar “Experiences of innovation and cooperation for a textile circular economy with a social aim within the Euroregion Pyrenees-Mediterranean”. This webinar was organised in the framework of the European Week for Waste Prevention, for the Eurotextile – Circular project.
