Governance | Symbolic action during the third stage of the Tour de France | Puigcerdà

On the third stage of the Tour de France, a giant European Union flag (22 × 17 meters) will be unfolded just before the peloton crosses the border between Spain and France, when passing through Puigcerdà (Catalonia, Spain).
This is a joint initiative of the European Commission (Representations in Barcelona and Paris), the Youth Assembly of the Euroregion Pyrenees-Mediterranean and stakeholders on the ground (the Europe Direct centres in Prades and Girona, and the mayors of Puigcerdà and Bourg-Madame).
